LOS ANGELES >> Dozens of Southland museums will offer free admission Sunday in an annual effort to encourage residents to visit the institutions and attract people who might otherwise be unable to visit.The 12th annual Museums Free-for-All offers free general admission, but it does not apply to specially ticketed exhibitions.
Among the museums taking part are the Armory Center for the Arts, The Broad, California African American Museum, Descanso Gardens, Hammer Museum, La Brea Tar Pits and Museum, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Museum of Contemporary Art, Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, Pasadena Museum of California Art and Zimmer Children’s Museum.A complete list of participating museums is available at www.SoCalMuseums.org/free.Some museums charge for parking, and some require visitors to obtain timed-entry tickets in advance.
